Why Pick a Sack Truck with Pneumatic Tyres?
When moving heavy loads, a sack truck is an essential piece of equipment that will definitely make life in the warehouse easier! But with so much choice on offer, it's sometimes hard to decide on a single product.
Today we are looking at why you should consider purchasing a sack truck with pneumatic tyres.
3 In 1 Heavy Duty Sack Truck Trolley with Pneumatic Wheels
Sack trucks enable you to balance the weight of a heavy object over its wheels by leaning it backwards. This means you can carry the heavy item with ease, rather than one or two of you struggling and risking injury.
At Palletrucks-trolleys.com we supply a range of high-quality sack trucks and trolleys for all your lifting needs - click here to view the whole range.
If you’re wondering what equipment is best for heavier-duty jobs, a sack truck with pneumatic tyres may be the best choice. Pneumatic tyres are used on these heavy loading sack trucks because the pressurised air allows for a smoother journey while manoeuvring the sack truck.
Stairclimber 310kg Powered Sack Truck
These lighter tyres absorb more shock during impact, so are useful when cushioning the heavy load. This is even the case when travelling over uneven terrain, making what would be a very bumpy journey a lot smoother!
We know we have a diverse range of sack trolleys to buy or for hire, and that this may seem a bit overwhelming! As long as you know how heavy and what shape the load is we can advise you on what equipment is best. Just give us a ring on 0808 123 69 69 and we can guide you through!

The lifting function is controlled through hand and foot controls and couldn’t be easier to use! These heavy-duty steel stacker trucks have a low turning radius and ergonomic design for your convenience. This means they are perfect for use in cramped or narrow spaces.
The hydraulic mechanics inside the hydraulic stacker allow the stackers to lift with ease – below is a brief description of how they work:
- Within a hydraulic cylinder, powered pumps apply pressure to a reservoir of oil.
- As the liquid cannot be compressed, oil is pushed from the cylinder into a larger chamber.
- The pressure created forces the stacker to lift.
- The different hydraulic stackers create different levels of pressure which is why they can lift different weights.
Our hydraulic stackers are available for hire or to buy depending on what you require. Simply select the 'Buy Me' or 'Hire Me' option below the hydraulic stacker you need to complete your order. If you need any advice on what equipment you need or have any general questions regarding our range of hydraulic stackers we are more than happy to help! Contact us here today.
How to use a ratchet strap
If you need to secure that heavy load you're transporting, a ratchet strap may be the perfect option. But what is the correct way to use a ratchet strap for load restraint purposes? Getting it wrong doesn’t bear thinking about, so we’re here to show you how to use your ratchet strap correctly.
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to use a ratchet strap...
To secure a load using a ratchet strap, simply follow these steps:
- Open the handle of the ratchet and align the axle until the opening is pointing upwards. Once aligned, re-close the ratchet.
- From underneath the ratchet, lead the webbing through the axle until it pops out the other side.
- Without over-tightening, place the hooks into the desired position and remove any slack by pulling the loose end away from the ratchet.
- Raise and lower the ratchet handle to tighten the strap and wrap it around the axle. When the strap is tight enough, close the ratchet handle to secure.
Once you have finished using your ratchet strap and you're ready to remove it, simply pull the handle whilst opening the ratchet completely. This will loosen the strap. E voila! That’s how to use your ratchet strap.

Pallet Jacks (also known as pallet trucks) are commonly found in most warehouses. This is due to their ability to move heavy loads from one area to another, thus making moving operations much easier. Pallet Jacks can be either manual or electric and both pallet jacks can lift an impressive amount of weight.
How much can a manual Pallet Jack lift?
Manual Pallet Jacks can lift up to 5000kg in weight and can help you move a heavy load from A to B. That is more than enough weight capacity to help you move exceptionally heavy pallets, furniture or office equipment.

Our 5000kg Hand Pallet Jack is also lightweight and compact considering the amount of weight it can lift. The wheels and rollers are also made from resilient polyurethane which provides extra grip on smooth surfaces. You’ll be pleased to find the Manual Pallet Jack cost on Palletrucks-Trolleys is incredibly reasonable. Manual Pallet Jacks are quick and easy to use, but if you need help here's a guide on how to use a pallet jack.
How much can an electric Pallet Jack lift?
Alternatively, Electric Pallet Jacks can lift slightly less weight but they do take out all of the leg work. Though they are not able to lift as much weight as a manual pallet jack, instead of having to manually crank the Pallet Jack handle, Electric Pallet Jacks allow you to lift and move the heavy load using a control located on the Pallet Jack handle.
Shop Electric Pallet Jacks
Electric Pallet Jacks are typically able to lift up to 1.5tonnes. This means that Electric Pallet Jacks are ideal for moving light-duty machinery and equipment around the warehouse with ease. Here at PalleTrucks-Trolleys, our 1.5tonne lifting capacity Electric Pallet Jack also comes with an emergency stop to ensure safety in the workplace. Now that is a good deal when you consider the cost of our pallet Jacks.
